A Prayer of Forgiveness:

Lord, remember not only the people of goodwill, but also those of ill will.

Remember not all the sufferings they inflicted on us;

Remember instead the fruits we have bought, thanks to this suffering — our compassion, our courage, our loyalty, our generosity, the greatness of heart which has grown out of all this.

And when they come for your judgement,

let the fruits which we have borne be their forgiveness.
